Our approach

COMPLIANCE

In addition, this information demonstrates NCEH/ATSDR compliance with the Information Quality Act (2000), 44 U.S.C. §3516. NCEH/ATSDR also complies with the peer review standards developed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Department of Health and Human Services, and CDC. The OMB Peer Review Bulletin describes specific requirements. OMB also encourages federal agencies to make specific information on the peer review of influential documents publicly available. OMB has defined two special categories of influential information as Influential Scientific Information (ISI) and Highly Influential Scientific Assessments (HISA).
